Orton-Gillingham Literacy Instruction

Linder is proud to offer private and small group Orton-Gillingham literacy instruction. Our teachers were trained through IMSE, which means we use a multi-modal approach to teaching structured literacy—the best evidence-based curriculum. Whether a child needs help building a literacy foundation or is seeking intervention to address reading disabilities and deficits, Linder can help.

Educational Coaching

The most flexible of our services and the core of our business, educational coaching is customizable to the needs of each unique student and family. The most common needs of coaching clients include executive functioning support, disability interventions, subject tutoring, and skill set development.

Test Prep

Our Test Prep program offer both small group and private test prep. We have won awards for the best test prep in the tri-state region, and it is backed by our statistics. Our average student scores at the 52nd percentile on his or her baseline, but at the 93rd percentile on test day. We pride ourselves on helping students learn the strategy of standardized testing and the content, and doing so with laughs along the way.

504/IEP Support

For our education system to give equal opportunity to each child, it is imperative that parents understand the 504 and IEP processes. One of our main goals at Linder is to ascertain what supports and services a child needs to be successful, and to advocate for those accommodations and services to be provided in the school. Kristin is one of only 450 people in the US to have earned a Certificate in Special Education Advocacy from William & Mary Law, and does case reviews, attends meetings, and helps parents navigate the process of special education.

College Admissions Support

Creating lists, organizing timelines, crafting essays, planning visits, negotiating scholarship offers — we are here for all of it! Every year, we help students of all achievement levels secure admissions and funding at schools that are the right fit for the next stage of their lives. There is no set formula, because each child is different and is looking for something unique in his or her college experience. However, we have a great track record of helping students sort through the noise and find their right fit. As a company, we feel that a well positioned list should leave students with scholarship offers and aim to have each client at a school they love for a price they can afford. Every year, over half of our students get a full tuition offer to one of their top three choices.
